Most pool service companies will tell you they "chemically treat and maintain your pool each week." That's it. No detail, no process, no way to know if the tech actually did anything or just walked through the gate and left. We think that's a problem — not just for trust, but for your pool. So here's exactly what happens every time we show up.
💡 We send an "on our way" text before every visit. When we're done, you get a digital service report showing chemical levels, what was added, and any equipment notes. No guessing whether your pool was serviced this week.
The 11-Step Process — Every Visit
-
1Water Chemistry Test (SpinTouch)
We test with a SpinTouch portable water lab — not strips. Free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, and salt levels. Every number, every visit, on record.
-
2Chemical Balancing
Whatever's off gets corrected. We use premium-grade chemicals — clarifiers, enzyme treatments, phosphate removers in summer, the right chlorine for your pool type. No cheap stuff, no shortcuts.
-
3Skim the Surface
Leaves, debris, and anything floating on top gets cleared. This is what most people picture when they think "pool cleaning" — it's also the fastest part.
-
4Brush Walls, Steps & Waterline
This is what separates real pool service from a guy who just dumps chemicals. Brushing disrupts algae before it can take hold. Most DIYers skip this first when they get lazy.
-
5Clean Skimmer Basket
A clogged skimmer basket restricts water flow and makes your pump work harder. We clear it every visit.
-
6Clean Pump Basket
Same idea as the skimmer — debris here strains the pump motor and reduces circulation. Caught now, it's nothing. Ignored for months, it can cost you a pump.
-
7Check Filter Pressure
We read the PSI on every visit. When pressure climbs 8–10 PSI above baseline, the filter needs cleaning. We flag it before it becomes an efficiency problem.
-
8Inspect Equipment
Pump, heater, salt cell, automation — a quick look every week means we catch issues early. Leaks, unusual sounds, error codes — all noted in your service report before they turn into expensive repairs.
-
9Empty and Check Automatic Cleaner
All our customers run an automatic cleaner — we require it because it keeps the floor clean between visits. We check it's working properly and clear the canister.
-
10Vacuum — As Needed
If the automatic cleaner has been running properly, manual vacuuming usually isn't needed. When it is — after heavy debris, wind events, or if the cleaner missed a spot — we handle it.
-
11Send Service Report
After every visit you receive a detailed report: exact chemical readings, what was added, equipment status, and any notes from the tech. Timestamped, every week, no exceptions.
Why the Process Matters
Don't Want to Deal With This Yourself?
We handle all of this on every weekly visit — documented, consistent, and backed by a 50% off first month offer. No contracts.
Get a Free Quote →Pool chemistry isn't just about chlorine. CYA, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness — they all interact. A pool that's "clear" can still have chemistry that's quietly damaging your plaster, corroding your equipment, or building toward an algae bloom that takes multiple visits to fix. Getting every reading every week and adjusting accordingly is the difference between a pool that's actually healthy and one that looks fine until it doesn't.
In the Inland Empire specifically, UV exposure is relentless, summer heat pushes phosphate levels up, and the hard water means calcium management is a real ongoing concern. A process that works in a mild climate isn't aggressive enough here. We built our service around what SoCal pools actually need.
The Chemicals We Use
We use the best stuff on the market — not because it's a selling point, but because cheap chemicals create more work. Enzyme pre-treatments break down oils and organics before they become a water clarity issue. Weekly clarifiers keep water crystal clear even with high bather load. Phosphate removers in summer cut off the food source for algae before it blooms. Everything is professional-grade. Nothing generic.
💡 We don't charge extra for chemicals. Premium chemicals are part of what you're paying for — not a line-item add-on that shows up mid-season. The only add-ons we offer are filter cleaning ($95) and salt cell cleaning ($85), done at 3–4 month intervals when they're actually due.
What We Don't Do
We don't charge for chemicals separately and then use bargain-bin products. We don't skip visits and bill you anyway. We don't send a different tech every week with no continuity on your account. And we don't give you a vague "pool was serviced" notification that tells you absolutely nothing. If you've dealt with any of that before, you know exactly why we bring it up.
